Subject: MacBook macOS user is not able to connect to Wi-Fi SSID with RADIUS authentication

Inside the Aruba 7010 wireless controller, I clicked Configuration > WIZARDS > Campus WLAN.

I selected the SSID in question and found that it uses WPA-2 Enterprise for authentication with AES Encryption. This means that it uses RADIUS authentication. On the next page, I clicked the RADIUS server under Ordered list of Authentication servers and found that the RADIUS server is actually inside the Windows Server Active Directory Domain Controller.

Upon further checking inside the Windows Server Active Directory Domain Controller, I found that Network Policy Server (NPS) was being configured.

Realizing that the Wi-Fi SSID uses RADIUS authentication, I figured that I have to join the macbook to Windows Active Directory domain.

You can click the following guide for more information.

After joining the macbook to Windows Active Directory domain and after the user has signed in to her AD account on the macbook, the user is now finally able to connect to the Wi-Fi SSID in question!

The user is located in Chinatown, Singapore.
