The number of foreigners in singapore as of today (if I remember correctly), stands at about 30-40% of the local population today. What happened to the promises made to put Singaporeans first? (Oh wait. Amy Khor told us to pack up and leave if we're not happy!)
While Singaporeans are being forced into being grab drivers, grabfood delivery personnel, dishwashers and cleaners, foreigners are given high paying cushy jobs and live comfortably in luxurious condos while we have to slog like dogs just to afford a "pigeon hole" HDB?
The cpf is also another issue. With the endless changes to the cpf scheme, everyone is finding it even harder to have a proper retirement and have to end up cleaning plates or worse, collecting cardboard (to a certain MP, as a form of exercise)
National Day is supposed to be a day of pride, but with so many things happening in the last 20+ years I can't find a reason to feel proud being a Singaporean.
I love my country. But I do not like what my country has degenerated into. Not one bit. We did not fight for independence just to end up being invaded by foreigners again and be 2nd class citizens in our own country.
This is definitely not the kind of future I want. This is not an inclusive society. Esp when locals are losing their jobs to foreigners with fake degrees and dubious qualifications because the HR comprises of foreigners who will exploit MOM rules to bring their own people in."
